Alexandre Hôte is a passionate winemaker who, after 20 years on the family estate, decided in 2019 to strike out on his own. He created his own 4.5-hectare estate in Tavel and Lirac, taking over superb old goblet-trained vines that have been organically cultivated for a long time on sandy, pebble and slate terroirs.
A perfectionist and deeply committed, Alexandre does everything himself, from the vine to the bottle. Manual labour, biodynamic inspiration, hand-picked Grenache Noir, Syrah and Cinsault grapes, natural vinification without additives, a century-old ratchet press and gravity at every stage: here, nothing is rushed.
Surrounded by his family, he crafts lively, delicious and precise wines that are rich and perfectly balanced. These are sincere vintages that reflect this Rhône winemaker, who is already a key figure and clearly one to watch.
