Nothing suggested that this passionate winemaker would turn local traditions on their head. Based in the heart of the Aube region since 1981, Erick Schreiber has conceived his 6.5-hectare vineyard as a veritable ecological laboratory. A key figure in the very early days of organic viticulture in Champagne, he tends his estate with boundless respect for the ecosystem: gentle practices in the vineyard, attunement to natural rhythms and geobiological research to reveal the full richness of his land.
Rooted in this distinctive limestone subsoil, his grape varieties (led by Pinot Noir, but also including Chardonnay, Meunier, Pinot Blanc and the unexpected, historic Pinot Gris) produce bespoke cuvées.
